Doctor Who's third serial, "The Edge of Destruction" is a good serial even for modern standars. This episode ran only two weeks from February 8th to February 16th 1964.
This story was written to face some budget constraints as the production could only afford the Doctor and his companions and only one set, the TARDIS.
Well, it seems that out of necessity a truly amazing episode was born. "The Edge of Destruction" is more a psychological thriller than a science fiction story.

| Fear takes over the TARDIS. |
After some TARDIS malfunction Susan can't remember what happened and all the characters become suspicious of each other. Everyone believes that someone else is sabotaging the ship and the Doctor becomes quite aggressive. Watch it even if you are not a fan of the First Doctor.

Here's a good trailer for this story:

PS: I will not watch the following serial, "Marco Polo", soon because it's one of the missing episodes. Only audio and a few pictures are available. Since I usually watch the episodes with my kids, I can convince 'em and even to like to watch a black and white movie but I am sure I can't interest them with just a few pictures and badly recorded audio. Next one will be "The Keys of Marinus."
